Kez Style Special Illustration Edition : 3 Ways To Style A Crop Top
I am so happy to have had the opportunity to work with the super talented Fashion Illustrator Autumn Kimball on this collaboration. We opted to find a way in which we could mesh both our fashion worlds, her being a Fashion Illustrator/Designer and me being a Fashion Editor/Stylist into one major dynamic overload. Autumn whose main offices are in Australia , New York and Colorado has done some very major illustration projects of fashion moguls like top fashion blogger and writer Leandra Medine , style icon Solange Knowles and fashion and retail consultant Yasmin Sewell just to name a few. I am indeed honoured to now be amongst that list as today’s Kez Style post features fashion illustrations of moi by Autumn Kimball. The illustrations were styled by both Autumn and I to capture my eclectic vibe and to show you 3 ways you can style a crop top .
Here they are:
Look 1 : The Tulle Affair
When the ballerina in you wants to break free but just in stilettos and some jewelry this look is a definite go to style. I love this crop top because it gives off a more athletic feel, which is great for contrasting the girly effect of the tulle. Drop in a little colour in your heels and you’re set for a great night out on the town with your ‘boo’ or friends.
Look 2 : Sporty Casual Chic
Recycle the same crop top with a high waist retro jeans and sneakers for an “on the run” chic look. This is a great look for shopping or a city run with your gals/guys. It’s excellent for looking dress down stylish when running crazy errands. The sneakers help put some pep in your step and some statement jewelry and hair accessories almost always carry you to the edge. How do I look?
Look 3 : Dinner Should Be Fun
Who said you always have to wear those ‘cutesy’ dresses for dinner dates ? …Boring. Switch things up with some culottes (a.k.a ¾ wide legged pants) and the SAME crop top when heading to dinner to bring a groovy ambiance and vibe wherever you go. This outfit is the most delightful transitional look as you can easily wear this during the day and still look equally as good at night. Don’t forget play with colours and keep the room swooning over your smile.
