The ‘YUS’ and ‘YAS’ Beauties of The 2014 Emmy Awards
The 2014 Emmy Awards took place last night and while there were Red Carpet ‘donts‘, I rather focus on those that slayed the invitation to impress. They are the true winners in my eyes because if anyone of them did not win an award last night, they could easily be comforted by the fact that they looked better than whoever did. At least I know I would have been. So to avoid rambling any further here are the Red Carpet beauties that gave me the “Yus” and “Yas” effect. Please beware of the gradual increase in the “sss” as I really start getting into the show stoppers.
“Yas” Camila. The ever composed Camila Alves was an air of perfection on the red carpet wearing Zuhair Murad. Not a strand of hair was out of place (literally).
“Yus”. Alexi Ashe was simple but more importantly effective in this well draped teal number by J.Mendel. Less is sometimes more.
Thanks Hayden Panitierre for adding the right amount of sparkle and glamour to the red carpet(since some folks overdosed on it). This Lorena Sarbu dress was just what the soon to be mother needed to compliment her ever present maternal glow. “Yasss”
“Yasssuh”(because Yas wouldn’t cut it). Leave it up to Halle to make every young actress at the Emmys want to crawl into a hole and die. How dare she attend the Emmy’s at almost 50 years old in this impeccable hue of Elie Saab looking this #flawless? #Blasphemy
Uzo Aduba gave a “how to rock red on the red carpet” class at this years Emmys, and I think we can see why she’s the teacher. “Yasss”? You better recognize, because she was teaching in that Christian Siriano dress.
Teyonah Parris was “Yusss” beautiful in this colour blocked gown by Christian Siriano. It almost brought me to tears. She carried this gown like the Queen she is evidently. I just wish she’d worn some jewelry but who needs jewels when your complexion alone makes you shine like a star.
Fashion Designer Christian Siriano was the real winner for me at the Emmys this year. His designs were among the best on the red carpet and this two-piece sensation worn by Sarah Hyland was no exception. Sara’s ensemble was a definite show stopper and was a major chart topper on many best dressed lists. She was “Yasss” amazing.
Oh “YASSSSSSS” Keke. When Keke Palmer stepped out in this cobalt blue gown by Rubin Singer “I wasn’t ready”. I honestly have never seen Keke look this stunning before for an award show. My jaw literally dropped and there were instant palpitations of my heart. Last night Keke Palmer was definitely the MVP and the biggest “Yassuh” of them all. #totalperfection
